Carriers
Carriers are mammals that have the mutation but do not show the disease. Mostly females are carriers and males get the actual disease. Carriers inherit one unusual gene from only one parent instead of two unusual genes from both of your parents. If you want to find out if your a carrier you can need to get a blood test. For HD, a person can have 0 alleles of the gene, 1 allele of the gene, and 2 alleles for the gene. Since it is not sex-linked, men and women can carry an allele(s) for the disease.
